Lesli Davies joins IPC Board
Lesli Davies, GP and Medical Secretary of the LMC, has joined IPC Board for six months to help guide our approach.
Lesli originally trained in New Zealand and has worked both in the UK and New Zealand in both clinical and managerial roles. Having initially worked in hospitals, Lesli trained in general practice and became partner at Clifton Road Surgery in Rugby until her recent retirement. Lesli helped establish Rugby Health and is a director on the board. She has also been an LMC officer since 2005. Lesli’s breadth of expertise will bring welcome insight and fresh perspective to IPC as we move forward.
Dr Norman Byrd has stepped down from his role on IPC Board to concentrate on his other primary care leadership roles. We would like to thank Norman for his contribution to IPC during a pivotal time which has seen us become a provider of choice for at scale contracts in Coventry and Warwickshire.
IPC secures CQC registration and CQC registered Officer
IPC is now CQC registered in its own right, in addition to the registrations held by our delivery partners.
Our CQC registration covers:
- Family Planning
- Diagnostic and screening procedures
- Surgical Procedures
- Treatment of disease, disorder or injury
Joanne (Jo) Min has been appointed Registered Manager for CWIPC as part of our CQC registration. Jo will be responsible for ensuring our services continue to meet the requirements set by the CQC.
Dermatology/Gynaecology: Local clinics may be closer than you think!
When it comes to booking dermatology and gynaecology clinics for your patients, our services may be closer than you think.
Our service listed on eRS only allows one location to be listed per provider which means IPC shows up as Leamington-based even though both our dermatology and gynaecology services offer clinics at various locations across Coventry, Rugby, Warwickshire North and South Warwickshire.
Once the patient is triaged and assessed as suitable for our service, the admin team call the patients to offer a choice of clinic locations and dates.
For Gynaecology we have 10 locations and for dermatology 12 locations.

Smoking Cessation service starts in Warwickshire
Warwickshire County Council has commissioned IPC delivery partner, South Warwickshire GP Federation (SWGP) to deliver free smoking cessation services to residents across Warwickshire.
This is the first contract to be awarded on a Warwickshire-wide footprint, enabled by the positive collaborative working by partners across IPC. It is an example of how IPC partners can flex to meet different at scale commissioning requirements.
Funded through the national SmokeFree Generation Grant, this contract means PCNs across Warwickshire will be delivering smoking cessation support directly (with support if required) and could lead to more opportunities to deliver at scale public health initiatives within primary care.
For more information, please contact Louise Masterson, Service Delivery Manager.
