GP Clinical Leadership Programme

IPC manages the recruitment of clinical leads to help deliver the Coventry & Warwickshire Integrated Care System’s strategic priorities.

On behalf of Coventry & Warwickshire Integrated Care Board, IPC has been commissioned to recruit clinical leads from general practice to support transformation work programmes, place-based joint working, pathway development, and clinical input into system meetings.

We have recruited 14 individuals across multiple specialties, who provide essential clinical input, ensuring the voice of primary care is heard to help the system as a whole deliver the best care for patients. Their responsibilities typically include:

  • Clinical assurance of workstreams and projects, ensuring they align with best clinical pathways and are clinically robust, measurable and sustainable.
  • Assuring that workstreams support the needs and aspirations of our communities.
  • Leading engagement activities to gather collective views from general practice which shape and influence projects.
  • Working with colleagues to resolve navigate and resolve challenges.

Clinical lead specialties

We have recruited clinical leads for the following specialties:

  • End of life/palliative care
  • Population health
  • Community Diagnostic Centres
  • Local Maternity & Neonatal system
  • Cardiovascular disease
  • Diabetes.Women’s health
  • Learning Disability & Autism
  • Opioids Stewardship
