Primary Care Surge helps practices continue to meet patient demand during unexpected workforce shortages cause by staff absences or workload peaks.
This short-term, urgent response service provides a mix of face-to-face and remote sessions. Up to six sessions are available each day, with each remote session providing 20 telephone appointments.
By plugging unforeseen gaps in GP capacity, we’re able to help practices support their patients, while reducing the pressure on urgent treatment centres and hospitals.
